Obturation Techniques

Cold Lateral

  • Place gutta percha points dipped in sealer
  • Compact gutta percha using spreader
  • Warm Vertical

  • Fit master cone dipped in sealer
  • Introduce heat into the canal
  • Compact with plugger
  • Repeat the process
  • Densfil® Obturation Technique

  • Choose a verifier that corresponds to one size smaller than the last master apical file. The largest verifier which goes to working length without binding will indicate the size obturator that should be used to fill that canal
    Obturators are heated using the DensHeat® Oven
  • Sealer is used to coat the canal wall
  • Obturator is simply placed into the canal and gently positioned to the predetermined working length.
