Q: What is the significance of the different silicone stops?
A: Black stops are used for hedstroms, K-Files have yellow stops and reamers are blue. This allows for easier identification.

Q: How does a Unifile differ from a hedstrom?
A: Unifile’s unique double hedstrom design allows for cutting on clockwise and counter clockwise rotation.

Q: What is a Lentulo Paste Carrier?
A: It works like a Lentulo Spiral Filler while allowing manual control to position sealer in a prepared canal.

Q: How should I sterilize Maillefer Hand Instruments?
A: Autoclave (steam or chem), Dry Heat (not to exceed 180 C), or Cold Sterilization (Note: Cold Sterilization may discolor handles).

Q: What should I use to irrigate the canal space?
A: NaOCl Full strength. Glyde contains EDTA. This acts in conjunction with the NaOCL to remove the smear layer and clean tubules.

Q: Do I need lubricant with every file?
A: Yes.  Generously lubricate the file every time you enter the canal.

Q: What are the components of GLYDE?
A: EDTA, carbamide peroxide in a water-based solution.

Q: What consistency is GLYDE?
A: It has a gel-like consistency.  It can be refrigerated for a more viscous consistency.
