Q: How does Densfil obturation differ from traditional root canal obturation?
A: Densfil provides a predictable three-dimensional fill. The obturator consists of a solid core carrier coated with Alpha phase gutta-percha.
Q: What is a three-dimensional fill?
A: Warm gutta-percha flows to fill the canal, as well as lateral canals and accessory canals.
Q: How does Alpha phase gutta-percha differ from regular gutta-percha?
A: Alpha Phase gutta-percha becomes adhesive when heated. This allows the thermoplasticized gutta-percha to flow freely.
Q: Why are the obturators available in plastic and titanium?
A: Both are available to give you a choice of obturators. Post placement is simplified with plastic carriers.
