A: The extra-fine crosscut shape of the Transmetal bur is designed to remove an old amalgam or to cut through porcelain fused to metal crowns.

Q: Won’t the Transmetal bur shatter porcelain?
A: The Transmetal bur is an end-cutting bur designed not to vibrate, reducing the possibility of shattering porcelain.

Q: When would I use an Endo-Z bur?
A: After initial penetration, the long tapered Endo-Z bur will create a funnel shape for easier access in the pulp chamber.

Q: Won’t the Endo-Z bur perforate the chamber floor?
A: The Endo-Z bur has a non-cutting safe-end tip. The bur is side cutting only to minimize the risk of perforation.
